Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Carmen Draghici and I present you the blog Eveil à l’interculturalité.
During my master studies in education sciences and during the internship at UNESCO at ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) department, I cultivated my passion for the study of early childhood and interculturalism. I started the blog to share this passion.
Working with young children in intercultural situations and my personal intercultural experiences have strengthened the desire to analyze the relationships between the cultures observing the issues in maintaining or breaking the link with the home culture and the contact with the culture of the host country.
The content of this blog is based on my research that focuses on young children in intercultural situations. Observations made in the investigation field, photos, interviews, document presentations and analyzing concerning the early childhood and interculturalism topic are the subject of this blog.
I will also discuss about children’s education and socialization and about identity construction.
Part of this blog focuses on the cultural practices of young children, such as reading and listening or singing music, which are an important vector in cultural transmission from an early in the family and in the preschool settings context.
This blog is written in several languages (manually translation by the author), for a better transmission of the data.
Enjoy visiting the blog Eveil à l’interculturalité!
